April 19, 2008: Ten Word Reviews

I’m taking a page out of Amanda’s book and doing some ten word reviews. I’ve been watching a lot of movies lately.

Movies

  1. Donnie Darko - Who doesn’t love Jake Gyllenhaal? Ending evokes very strong emotions.
  2. Enemy of the State - Exciting government conspiracy flick. Will Smith and Gene Hackman rock.
  3. Ed Wood - Johnny Depp cross-dresses… Not sure what to say. Entertaining, nonetheless.
  4. The Good Son - Macaulay Culkin is a sociopath. Elijah Wood is better actor.
  5. Sweeney Todd - Gory and artistic horror musical. The cast is so awesome.
  6. Office Space - Ron Livingston: disgruntled office worker. Milton is the best character.
  7. Dan in Real Life - Sweet and a little funny. It was an okay movie.

Books

  1. The Book Thief - Different side of Nazi Germany. Heartwarming and heartbreaking. Must read.
  2. I Am The Messenger - Ed Kennedy is normal. Then he isn’t. Very inspiring book.
